Very sad to see and also a reminder of why you should protect your personal data and your clients personal data, and we should not give up data protection laws in Europe:
In this case scammers had detailed enough knowledge of the students circumstances to elaborate a scam which was convincing enough to trick the students. Who later suffered heart attack from the stress.
For families under single-child policy, this one child and their education may be everything so the pressure must be enormous.
